The Edge Bendigo is Central Victoria's leading saw and sharpening service. In 1995, Tim McMahon founded the business after venturing out on his own once leaving the family timber business in Heathcote.

In the early days, Tim began by sharpening tools from the back of his van, offering a mobile sharpening service prior to settling into the company's first premises in Eaglehawk. Since then, the business has experienced considerable growth and gone from strength to strength, forcing a succession of moves to its present day location in Pratts Park Road, Bendigo. The current site also houses an extensive manufacturing workshop for The Edge's other business, 'The Edge Equine' which is a successful equine dental manufacturer and supplier both nationally and internationally.

In his early twenties Tim ventured to PNG to help build saw mills for local missions and proudly, this work is continued to this day.
